I see London, I see FranceSo, if there is a little girl in your life, you may have noticed that they are not too terribly bothered about modesty when wearing dresses and skirts. That's all fine and dandy of course — no shame issues need apply!

However, for many reasons, and especially at recess, Bloomers like this adorable pair from littlemave are a great solution.

These are perfect for the girl who likes dresses but still wants to hang upside down on the monkey bars or do cartwheels, or for the girl who thinks tights are itchy. These bloomers could make cute pants, too!

Every week, usually on a Monday, a packet of papers comes home from my son’s school. Usually it consists of a lunch menu, various PTA correspondence, a fund raiser one-sheet, and if my wife and I have been doing our job, a letter from the principle or my son’s teacher talking about how awesome he is and how much they wish more of the kids were like him. (Okay, okay…maybe not the last one, but he did get tapped to be a Lunch Buster. Still need to read up on what that is.)

This week we received a sheet of paper from the district—a head’s up, if you will—about a few films that will be shown to the 5th and 6th grade classes between now and the end of the year.

Yep, those videos.

so much cute!

so much cute!

Not all of us own homes or want to carve notches into our doorways to chart our kids growth. So, jumping on the vinyl wall cling bandwagon, here is a super cute stick-on growth chart!

Etsy Seller Leen the Graphics Queen has quite a few really cute growth charts that you just stick on a bare wall and peel off when its time to get the security deposit back. I really like this Rocket Ship one, and this Monkey one too.

A quick search on Etsy of "growth chart" yields hundreds of results ranging in price from $ to $$$ so, if butterflies, monkeys or spaceships aren't your kiddo's deal, have a look around and find something fabulous!

Rawwrrr!

This may take some serious carpentry and creative skills, but your little dinosaur-lover would "snap" at the chance to sleep here. The textured face… oh, and the way the mural on the back wall extends the body… those vicious teeth! What a flippin' fantastic themed bedroom. This sure beats the heck out of my Strawberry Shortcake canopy bed!

Kudos to 3 Murphy's and family for stepping outside the proverbial box and creating a memorable and fun space to play, live and learn in!

Now THOSE are some rad wheels

now THOSE are some rad wheels

The Roddler stroller is definitely not for the faint of heart. But all you rockabilly mammas, speed freak papas and everything in between, this is THE ultimate stylin' stroller to wheel around your mini-me. It looks like a hot rod and is decked out with chrome wheels, white-wall tires, fin-shaped fenders, a chassis seat, an ultrasuede seat insert and much MUCH more.

The Kid Kustoms USA site shows many color and style options… you can even buy a trike conversion kit as they get a bit bigger and more adventurous! Pretty freaking stellar if you ask me.

LOVE the family mustaches!

LOVE the family mustaches!

So there I was…about to sit down for some lunch with my father, step-mother, Ranger and The Kids. Ranger and Big J were wrestling in the living room when Big J shrieked with laughter, "Daaadddy, you hit me in my penis!"

It was as if a record scratched to a halt in the distance. My father looked up from his newspaper, and my step-mother glowered over in my direction. In a low whisper she said, "Did-he-just-say" (wait for it…) "Penis?"

"Yeess," I slowly and mockingly whispered back.

Keep in mind that we're Texans, true "suthanuhs" my father would say, and there are just some topics that those with proper decorum do not discuss in the presence of others. Especially when you are about to eat. Correct terminology for private parts are one of those topics.
