Just when you think you've seen all of the cute things people can do with mustaches, something like this birthday party comes along and BOOM! You're right back in it, in love with mustaches all over again. 
Oooh how I love the birthday party that Elle recently threw for her now one-year-old daughter, Penelope. The decor, food, and attire were inspired by Eric Carle's The Very Hungry Caterpillar, and unlike a lot of birthdays you'll see, this one is TOTALLY pull-offable. You basically need cardboard, yarn, paper streamers, and some fruit and you have a insta-caterpillar birthday success. 
My son's first birthday is fast approaching, and I am debating whether or not to make him a cake. He hasn't eaten anything with sugar (other than the sugars naturally found in fruit and breastmilk) and I would like to keep it that way as long as possible. 
ALL PLANS FOR MY CHILD'S NEXT BIRTHDAY PARTY HAVE CHANGED. Ariel sent me an email with a link and text that read "Could this BE anymore up your alley?!!?" and I knew it had to be amazing. I jumped over to Super Punch and reveled in Holden's Bob Dylan-themed birthday party by my new favorite designers, 2+. 
You guys may remember the Dr. Seuss-themed birthday party shot by Atlanta-based Uzbin Photograhy that we featured a few months ago — and today I've got yet another awesome looking kid fete for one-year-old Aya. Aya's mother, Palwasha, planned a Sesame Street-themed event for her kidlet, and the photos are crazy adorable. 
Eryn and Laurie recently shared photos from their daughter Izzie's birthday that I am SO IN LOVE WITH. They've nicknamed their kiddo "Izzie Monster" and felt like a monster party would be the only way to really celebrate. Between the ball pit (kiddo pool + balls = instant kid fun) and coloring wall I think they most definitely did that. |
