Ok, have I mentioned that I'm going to NYC this weekend to meet-up with Pushba? She's been in the States for a couple weeks, and I had a frequent flyer ticket to use, and so it's happening… Offbeat Empire & Pushba: together at last.
Pusbha told me in no uncertain terms that she wants to meet with Offbeat readers, but neither of us are New Yorkers and so figuring out the logistics has been rough. Here's what I know for sure: Pushba and I are meeting at The Highline at 6pm this Saturday. And we want you to join us.

- WHO: Ariel, Pushba, and YOU! I'm putting this on Offbeat Mama because that's where we've featured Pushba most, but ALL Empire readers are welcome.

- DETAILS: We will be meeting right around 6pm at the 14th Street – Eighth Avenue subway stop, 8th Avenue Entrance. From there we'll be wandering The Highline together, waving our arms around a lot to compensate for Russian/English language issues. Eventually, we'll find a place to eat. Pushba really wants to go out Goth watching at a club that night, but I don't think that's in the cards for me.

PS: Huge bonus points if you speak Russian or German! Pushba speaks both. I speak neither!

There was a club on Ave A and Houston that was a goth club in my college days but I don't know if it still is. It was called The Bank.

I think The Bank is closed. Friends of mine have gone to Bank reunion parties, and talk about it in a past tense. (I live in NYC)
The only thing I currently know of for Saturday is that the Danger (who throws awesome parties) is planning a dance invasion of Time Square, in support of the Occupy movement. They are starting at 5pm and eventually headed to yet un-posted party location afterward. The local Burning Man people are part of this. You can rsvp on the Danger website to get more info.
I am on a couple of NYC "underground" party lists, if I see anything Goth come up for this weekend I'll give a shout.
