Eco friendly, tattoo-inspired, pro-breastfeeding shirts from Hot Mama Ink + GIVEAWAY

Features, Sponsors By on August 13, 2010 122

Ariel and I just about died when we were contacted by Andrea, founder of Hot Mama Ink, who was interested in promoting the company's latest shirt — Mother's Milk (usually $30, but on sale for $22). The shirt was released the first week of August to celebrate Breastfeeding Week, and the design is inspired by a classic pin-up breastfeeding.

Hot Mama Ink is an online shop that specializes in tees, tanks, and dresses emblazoned with utterly unique tattoo-inspired artwork. As a boon to their authenticity, the designs are created by well known tattoo artists.

After becoming pregnant with her first child, Andrea wanted a way to combine fashion with mamahood, and in pursuit of this quit her real estate gig and started a business with her friend, Rachel. They set up shop with tattoo artists Zulu and Jackie Dunn, and focused on designing and creating environmentally friendly AND affordable killer clothing for women in all of life's stages.

Hot Mama Ink isn't all breastfeeding — the maternity section of the shop will be of particular interest to Offbeat Moms (and friends!) who are looking for something comfy to wear that won't make you feel like you've got a gigantic pink bow strapped to your chest. The biz also offers baby slings (featured on Offbeat Mama in March) and tops for women who aren't pregnant.
