Delectable feather baby headband

Feathery goodness courtesy of GalsWithGirls.
Oh, this makes my ovaries ache to have a little girl. This peacock-color feather baby headband listed on Etsy is just so deliciously feminine. So dramatic! So pretty! The only risk would be that I'd want to order one in my size too. If we all start strutting around adorned by gorgeous feather headbands, what will become of society? Nothing but good things, I can assure you.

That is totally adorable, I was thinking of getting something for my neice but I started wondering about all the little parts? I wondered if it was a choke hazard?

The little clasp could be, which is why I'd say this was something that would be best for situations where you could keep a close eye on the child.

who says it wouldn't be rad on a little boy, too?! let's break open our gendered expectations for our babies, eh? our son's future husbands will thank us.

HEAR HEAER! …but then again I'm biased, since I"m already plotting my son's first tutu.

Ha! I actually OWN my son's first tutu! It's teal and dark purple and studded with dinosaurs!

I normally love all things girly, and to each their own, but I couldn't help wondering if this was a bit OTT for a baby (of either gender!) – kinda "over-glamourising" them a bit young? I'd be interested to hear your thoughts

Personally I would say it's not over-glamorizing. Sure, if I put her in full makeup and she wore this with heels and a flapper dress then yes, definitely. On its own, though, it strikes me as rather innocuous.

I'm normally a hater of all things foo-foo on a baby's head. Oversize bows and headbands make me want to shake parents. But this, THIS, I love. And it would be perfectly in vogue with the circus themed family shoot we have planned for as soon as this little man is born…
